BILL WOULD INCREASE SMOKING AGE MINIMUM TO 21-YEARS-OLD

A measure advanced on Thursday that would hike the minimum wage to smoke at 21-years-old. The current minimum is at 19. The measure would also apply to e-cigarettes. If passed, New Jersey would have the highest age to purchase tobacco products. Supporters say they hope it will keep more from becoming regular smokers.
