BELOVED SHORE ENTERTAINER, COZY MORLEY, 87

The Jersey Shore has lost a true legend.  Longtime entertainer Cozy Morley has passed away at the age of 87.  Morley is arguably the most legendary local comedian and musician to originate from our part of the Jersey Shore.  Morley owned and operated the Club Avalon which was located in North Wildwood’s entertainment district.  He worked with many big name entertainers in the 1950’s and 60’s, and his version of “On the Way to Cape May” became a staple among locals and visitors.  A statue of Cozy Morley is erected near where his Club Avalon once stood in North Wildwood.
