BEACH SMOKING BAN TAKES EFFECT TODAY IN NEW JERSEY

Smoking is now prohibited on public beaches and parks throughout the State of New Jersey.  Governor Murphy signed the smoking ban into effect in 2018, and it takes effect today.  State officials never agreed on who will be enforcing the ban, or when.  The law provides communities with the opportunity to designate a portion of their beach for smoking.
