BEACH FILLS IN SEA ISLE, AVALON TO BE DELAYED

Beach fill projects coming up in Sea Isle City and Avalon will likely be delayed into the summer months. The Press of Atlantic City reports that Sea Isle City officials were informed that a dredge doing work in Strathmere has been shut down for the time being due to necessary repairs. That same dredge will head to Avalon after the Strathmere project, and then to Sea Isle City. There are still two and a half to three weeks of dredging still remaining in Strathmere before the dredge moves south.
