BASS RIVER FOREST FIRE 60 PERCENT CONTAINED

A forest fire that started Thursday evening in Burlington County and burned over 460 acres is now 60 percent contained. The New Jersey Fire Service reports that the fire in the Bass River State Forest spread quickly overnight on Thursday and was eventually contained by crews who set controlled burns to keep the fire from spreading throughout the entire forest. There have been no injuries reported and the fire reportedly does not pose a danger to the public.
