AVIATION GRANT AWARDED TO ACCC

A major grant was awarded to Atlantic Cape Community College. U.S. Representative Frank A. LoBiondo announced that Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC) has been awarded a $2 million grant from the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) for the construction of the Aviation Workforce Training Center on the Mays Landing Campus of the college.

EDA awarded ACCC the federal funding to assist in creating a new facility at the Technology Studies Institute that will provide specialized training and certification to South Jersey’s workforce to qualify them for jobs in aviation and airport-related careers. It cites an anticipated $6.8 million in private investment will be leveraged.
