AVALON TO OFFER SPECIAL HOLIDAY BEACH TAGS

The Borough of Avalon will once again offer special holiday beach tags.  The tags will go on sale starting Friday, November 26th, during the Borough’s “Festive Friday” celebration that precedes the Borough’s annual tree lighting event.

The special holiday beach tags will cost $20 which includes a decorative box for gift-giving.  The beach tags will be “seasonal” tags that can be used during the entire 2011 beach season in Avalon.  As a convenience for the public, these tags do not have to be turned in for the new 2011 beach tags; they can be used as actual beach tags next year.

The holiday beach tags will be on sale at the Avalon Rescue Squad located between 30th and 31st streets along Dune Drive in Avalon.  Agnes Kelly, the supervisor of Avalon’s beach tag program, will be selling the tags at the rescue squad between the hours of 11:00am-4:00pm on Friday, November 26th.  The tags will also be on sale next to Veterans Plaza at the Avalon Tree Lighting Celebration later in the day, from 4:00pm-7:00pm.
