AVALON PRESENTS NORTH END DRAINAGE STUDY

Avalon’s Borough Council met Wednesday afternoon and discussed a new study designed to alleviate flooding issues in north end beach blocks during heavy rainstorm events.  The draft proposal calls for new pump stations and potentially new drainage pipes to help reduce the threat of street flooding during heavy rain events in a short period of time.  The north end beach blocks are protected from the ocean with an engineered dune system.
