AVALON POLICE CHARGE MAN FOR IDENTITY THEFT

Avalon Police have charged a Mays Landing resident with theft and identity theft after completing an investigation that began in November, 2009. Police announced that the charges have been filed against 22 year old Paris Goff, Jr, who has an address on Route 50 in Mays Landing.  Police allege that Goff obtained checking account information from a local resident and used that information to pay for access to pornographic websites. Police believe that Goff used the victim’s checking account to pay for pornographic websites. Total damages are estimated at $500. Goff was formally charged with theft and identity theft on Thursday and he was transported to the Cape May County Jail on $15,000 cash bail.
