AVALON PLACES FLOOD SENSORS AS PART OF INNOVATIVE PROJECT

Avalon and Stockton University have installed flood monitoring sensors at 15 different locations in the Borough to track nuisance flooding and heavy rainfall.  The sensors are being placed in key locations for over a year to generate real time flood data in order to improve resiliency; only Avalon and Longport are participating in this public-private partnership program.
