AVALON INTRODUCES ORDINANCE TO PROHIBIT MARIJUANA RETAIL LOCATIONS

The Avalon Borough Council introduced an ordinance that would make it illegal to operate any store or dispensary that would sell marijuana for recreational purposes.  The ordinance is a change to the zoning ordinance, and will be referred to the Avalon Planning and Zoning Board for review.  Avalon took the action in advance of the pending legalization of pot by State lawmakers.
