AVALON COUNCIL ADVANCES FREE BEACH TAG MEASURE

Avalon logoThe Avalon Borough Council met Wednesday night and passed an ordinance on first reading that would eventually provide free beach tags to active military personnel and their families.  Council met and approved the ordinance on a 5-0 vote; it would permit the Borough to exercise a new state law designed to provide free beach tags to active members of the military if shore towns choose to do so.  The measure comes up for a final vote next month.
