AVALON BEACH PATROL WINS KERR MEMORIAL RACES

The Avalon Beach Patrol won the Kerr Memorial Lifeguard Races for the sixth straight year on Sunday. The Avalon team won three of the five events, while second place winners Longport won the singles and doubles row. The race is in the memory of former Avalon lifeguard David J. Kerr, Jr. who succumbed to cancer at the age of 28 back in 1981.
