AVALON APPROVES FREE BEACH TAGS FOR ACTIVE MILITARY

The Avalon Borough Council has approved a measure that will allow free beach tags to be given to active military personnel and their families.   Council unanimously approved the measure, which will go into effect next summer.  Any active military members and their families will be entitled to free beach tags throughout the summer.  A new state law approved by Governor Chris Christie gives local towns the authority to provide this service to active military personnel.
