ATTEMPTED BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT ARRESTED BY WILDWOOD POLICE

A 30 year-old man who unsuccessfully tried to rob an Ocean First Bank branch was arrested on Wednesday by Wildwood Police. Brandon Ivens entered the bank at Maple and New Jersey Avenues on Tuesday and handed the teller a handwritten note demanding cash. Ivens left the bank empty-handed and was apprehended the next day, charged with second-degree robbery and second-degree attempted robbery, and placed in the Cape May County jail.
