ATTEMPT TO OVERRIDE MILLIONAIRE'S TAX FAILS AS EXPECTED

Assembly Democrats attempted to override a veto by Gov. Chris Christie on the “millionaire’s tax,” but fell short of the votes needed. Democrats needed a two-thirds majority, which would have required Republican support, but failed to gather the votes needed. The bill would have raised taxes on those making over $1 million to use those dollars towards the elderly for property tax rebates.
