ATLANTIC COUNTY TO HOST PROGRAM TO GET LOW COST FIREWOOD

Beginning October 1, Atlantic County residents can take advantage of the Homeowners Firewood Program to obtain firewood to supplement their supplies for the winter, one which is predicted to be extremely cold. Permits to cut up dead, fallen trees can be obtained in person starting Monday, September 23 for $20 per vehicle load at two park locations: Lake Lenape Boathouse, 6303 Old Harding Highway, Mays Landing, 7:30 AM to 5 PM daily; and the Estell Manor Park Nature Center, 109 Route 50, Mays Landing, 8 AM to 4 PM daily. Permits are non-transferable and are valid only for the specific date listed.
