ATLANTIC CITY POLICE HELP CHILDREN OFF BEACH DURING DERECHO

Atlantic City Police came to the rescue of families who were trying to get off the beach safety Wednesday afternoon during a derecho that brought very strong wind gusts to the resort.  One officer was struck on the back by a falling lamp post while trying to get a child off the beach safely.  There were no injuries.

Below is a social media post that appears on the Department’s website, showing the wind storm and the quick action by police.
