ATLANTIC CITY POLICE CHASE ENDS IN ABSECON WITH TWO ARRESTS

A routine traffic stop resulted in a police chase from Atlantic City to Absecon on Thursday afternoon. Police attempted to stop a car on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and Arctic Avenue, but the driver fled on Route 30 after two women got out of the car. The chase ended in a residential section of Absecon, after two men jumped out of the car and fled on foot. Police arrested the driver, 18-year-old Alexander Neewilly, of Pleasantville. The passenger, 20-year-old LaQuay Elliot, of Absecon was eventually captured and his handgun was recovered with the help of a K9 officer and his dog Max.
