ATLANTIC CITY MAY ALLOW OPEN CONTAINERS ON THE BOARDWALK

Atlantic City may soon allow open containers of alcohol on the city’s boardwalk.  Council will meet Wednesday and will consider a trial run of a program that will allow a patron to carry one open container of alcohol on the boardwalk from Albany to Metropolitan avenues.  The cup of beer could not be taken to a street, but could be taken to a beach bar.  The cup must carry the logo of the bar on it to be transported legally, under the proposed law.
