ATLANTIC CITY ELECTRIC ASKING FOR SIGNIFICANT RATE INCREASE

Atllantic City Electric logoThe average residential electric customer in our area will see their bills go up by an average of ten dollars per month under a new rate hike request being made by Atlantic City Electric.  The utility issued a press release stating that it’s asking to raise an additional $61.7 million in capital to finance upgrades and reliability improvements being made in southern New Jersey.  The total rate increase being presented to the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities is 5.6 percent.
