A new report says a casino company could help provide dollars to begin to fill a huge budget hole in Atlantic City. The Press of Atlantic City reports $6 million could be going from Mirage Resorts Inc. to the city from when they were planning to invest in the mid-90’s in the city’s Marina District. The company cleaned up a landfill area, that became the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa. The state gave back much of the remediation costs to Mirage, but a portion of those dollars were to go back to the city. The $6 million would close the books on that deal.
