ATLANTIC CITY AIRPORT COULD BE SOLD OR LEASED UNDER NEW BILL

A bill is being looked at in Trenton that would allow for the Atlantic City Airport to move out of direct state control. Senate President Steve Sweeney said his bill to help improve Atlantic City includes a provision that would allow the airport to be sold or leased. The primary player would be the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Sweeney noted heavy delays at Newark and Philadelphia airports, saying the airport in Atlantic City could help, plus it would boost tourists to Atlantic City.
