ASSEMBLY PASSES GUN VIOLENCE LEGISLATION PACKAGE

The New Jersey General Assembly on Thursday approved 22 gun violence prevention bills focusing on reforming gun and ammunition sales, improving mental health services, enhancing gun safety, and preventing gang violence. The measures are being pushed in the aftermath of high profile shootings in 2012. The state senate has yet to take up the package of bills. Gun owners argue that the measures go against their rights.
