A vote on the Cap legislation is expected in the Assembly today. Speaker Sheila Oliver said before the weekend that the bill that would enforce a two percent cap on property taxes would be heard for a floor vote. Gov. Chris Christie had conditionally vetoed a 2.9 percent cap and sent it back to the legislature with this 2 percent cap that has four exemptions. The Senate already passed the measure on Thursday.
