Voters in New Jersey will head to the polls in November to decide if the state should create a stable source of funding for open space preservation. The New Jersey Assembly met on Monday and approved the measure by a 58-9 vote with one abstention. The Senate passed a similar measure in June. Without approval of a stable source of funding for open space projects, the statewide program could go belly up financially.
