ANOTHER SOUTH JERSEY ATHLETE HEADING TO SUMMER OLYMPICS

Another South Jersey athlete will be competing at the Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Sam Ojserkis, a former member of the Mainland Regional High School crew team, will be the coxswain for the U.S. men’s eight boat, after his team won the Final Olympic Qualification Regatta, held in Lucerne, Switzerland on Tuesday. The 26 year-old Ojserkis began his coxswain career as a freshman at Mainland Regional and continued at the University of Washington, winning back-t0-back titles in varsity eight.
