BACK OPEN AGAIN: CORSON’S INLET BRIDGE REOPENS TO TRAFFIC

The on again, off again reopening of the Corson’s Inlet Bridge is on again. The county’s public information office announced today that the bridge opened shortly before 10:00am on Monday. The bridge underwent emergency repairs to about 40 feet of railing which needed to be replaced. You may remember earlier this month that an SUV drove off the bridge and through the railing, falling 30 feet into water below the bridge. Two teenagers who were inside the vehicle escaped with minor injuries. The bridge was supposed to reopen today, but a posting on the Cape May County Bridge Commission website said it would reopen tomorrow. Now, the bridge is reopen to the public.
