ANALYSTS SAY MURPHY DIDN’T NEED TO BORROW $4 BILLION FOR COVID

Non partisan financial analysts for New Jersey say no, Governor Murphy did not have to borrow $4 billion to keep the state going during the pandemic last year.  The Office of Legislative Services confirmed Tuesday that the borrowing was defensible at the time, but today, it is clear that was non essential borrowing.  Governor Phil Murphy advocated for borrowing the money to keep the state afloat.
