AIR QUALITY ALERT ISSUED FOR SOUTH JERSEY

The NJ Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for Cape May and Atlantic Counties for Wednesday. The Code Orange alert means air pollution concentrations may become unhealthy for sensitive groups, such as the elderly or those with heart or lung diseases. Many areas of the Delaware Valley near Philadelphia are under an Excessive Heat Warning through 6 p.m. on Friday, for heat indices approaching 100 degrees.
