ADOPTEES TO GET ACCESS TO BIRTH CERTIFICATES IN NEW JERSEY

A bill that would give adoptees access to their birth certificates cleared both branches of the state legislature on Thursday.  The measure was approved by both the Senate and the Assembly as a way for adopted adults to learn more about their parents.  The measure now goes to the desk of Governor Christie, who vetoed this legislation three years ago.
