UPDATE: STORM REMAINS PREDICTED AS CATEGORY 2

5 pm WednesdayThe newest information was released by the National Weather Service calling for a category 2 storm to pass by South Jersey on Sunday. Hurricane Irene is a category 3 storm currently and some island communities in North Carolina have been evacuated. It is still unclear how much the storm will impact our area. A new moon will happen this week, which should produce higher than usual tides. Coastal Broadcasting will continue to monitor the story for you on the air and online.
