30 POLICE OFFICERS TO RETURN TO WORK IN ATLANTIC CITY

A new report says many Atlantic City Police officers will be returning. The Press of Atlantic City reports that the state approved the plan to bring back 30 of the officers, meaning only eight have not been rehired. Large scale layoffs took place with Atlantic City in a budget crunch. A federal grant helped 30 firefighters return to work. This round of hiring brings back most of the remaining out of work police officers.
