$1.6 BILLION TAX INCREASE NEEDED IN NJ TO KEEP IT AFLOAT

Governor Phil Murphy’s administration says New Jerseyans need to absorb $1.6 billion in new taxes to pay for all of Murphy’s new programs.  The Senate Budget Committee met on Tuesday and heard the somber news.  Senate President Steve Sweeney says he will raise taxes only as a last resort.
