$1.5 MILLION SETTLEMENT TENTATIVELY AGREED TO IN BRIDGETON SHOOTING DEATH

A tentative deal has been reached in a payout for the killing of man by Bridgeton police. 36-year-old Jerame Reid was shot and killed in 2014, but a grand jury did not indict either officer in the shooting. Reid’s infant son would get $1.5 million in payments once he turns 18. His widow would get $200,000 and the mother of his child as well as his mom would get $70,000. The deal must be approved by a judge.
