8:22pm: NUMBERS IN LOCAL RACES BEGIN TO TRICKLE IN

Some of the very first numbers are beginning to trickle in on local races in Cape May County.  The first numbers show republican Roland Roy Jr. holding a slim one vote lead over democrat Chris Marlowe for a Council seat in Lower Township.  Democrats Dorothy Merlino and Donald Tozer hold a very slim lead over republican challengers in Dennis Township.  With about 3,000 votes counted, republicans hold a lead over democrats in the freeholder race, while republican Bob Nolan holds a slim lead over democrat Richard Harron in the Sheriff’s race.
