Schools in Ocean City and Ventnor are opening two hours late Friday morning. The schools decided to open late due to flooding anticipated from the morning high tide, which occurs in the 7am hour Friday. Moderate coastal flooding is anticipated during both high tide events on Friday.

A pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle at 34th Street and West Avenue in Ocean City Saturday morning. Police say the victim of the accident suffered non-life threatening injuries. The identity of the victim and the driver have not been released.
Gasoline is a bargain heading into Labor Day weekend. Mid Atlantic AAA reports that gas prices dropped by a whopping ten cents a gallon in the past week to an average of $2.66 a gallon in Cape May County. We are still six cents above the national average, but right at the state average.
