An 82 year old man from Middle Township is the latest victim of coronavirus. County officials announced 42 new positive cases on Friday. None of the 16 communities in the County have 100 cases or more of the virus.

There are two additional deaths from coronavirus, both in Middle Township. County officials say a 93 year old woman and a 78 year old man perished from the virus. There were 30 new positive cases in the County reported Monday, with several towns reporting no new cases.
Middle Township Police have charged two juveniles with breaking into vehicles in a Rio Grande neighborhood. Police announced Wednesday that the juveniles were arrested earlier this week after allegedly burglarizing vehicles on Secluded Lane. Police say there have been 13 reported vehicle burglaries in Shannon Oaks and Secluded Lane in recent weeks.
A 93 year old woman from Middle Township is the latest fatality locally from coronavirus. The County announced 64 new positive cases of the virus on Saturday. Over 5,200 people have contracted the virus locally. Middle Township continues to lead with 144 active cases.
A winning Jersey Cash 5 lottery ticket was sold at the ShopRite supermarket in Rio Grande. The drawing was held on December 30th and the ticket is worth $272,623. The winning numbers were 5, 7, 13, 21, and 31, with the XTRA number being 2.
Middle Township Police this afternoon issued a cancellation of an attempt to identify. Yesterday, police issued a photo of a black pickup truck, thinking the occupant may have been associated with an unwelcome entry into a dwelling. Police say today there was no foul play.
