AVALON RECEIVES $177,000 GRANT FROM NJDOT

Avalon has received a $177,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Transportation.  The grant will be used to support a street project in 2020.  To date, Avalon has received nearly $3 million in grant funding from the state for various road work in the past two decades.

AVALON AUTHORIZES FUNDING FOR HYDRAULIC BEACH FILL

Avalon has authorized funding for a hydraulic beach fill.  Council approved the action during its meeting on Wednesday.  According to Business Administrator Scott Wahl, extra sand is being added to the project courtesy of a cooperative agreement with the United States Army Corps of Engineers and the New Jersey DEP.
