AVALON MAYOR SWEARS IN NEW POLICE OFFICER

Avalon has a new police officer in its ranks.  Mayor Marty Pagliughi swore in new officer Lukas Hill during the Borough Council meeting held Wednesday night.  Hill fills a vacancy in the ranks created by a recent retirement.  Hill has a degree in Criminal Justice from West Chester University.

AVALON APPROVES SWEEPING CHANGES TO CONSTRUCTION REGULATIONS

The Avalon Borough Council approved sweeping changes to ordinances that regulate construction in the community.  The new ordinance changes include adjustments in the days, hours, and holidays where construction may occur, and also holds contractors to strict compliance standards.  The changes brought praise from the public during Wednesday evening’s meeting.
